Linden – William F. (Jake) Martin, 69 of Crawfordsville R 1 died at 6:10 a.m. in his home after a serious illness of three weeks. He had been ill 5 years. A native of Warren County, Kentucky, he moved to Indiana in 1936. He was a farmer in the New Richmond and Linden communities until 5 years ago when he moved to near Crawfordsville. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Tompkinsville, Ky. He married Ella Shirley in 1913. Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Wallace Hood of Linden; a son, William D. Martin of Crawfordsville R 1 and two sisters, Mrs. Clem Howard of Sulphur Lick, Ky and Miss Vern Martin of Glasgow, Ky. --Kbz
